The Beauty around me…..

Today I designed a a simple fall piece for the lobby of a school. I wanted to share this because the flowers I chose are common, everyday mums that came together in such a beautiful way it amazed me. I added some textural elements that I had dried and collected over the summer for such a use as this; dried Annabelle hydrangea, some crocosmia pods that my wonderful wholesale rep sent as a surprise, burgundy Millet, Pampas Grass, Angelhair vine left over from a wedding arch, a dried plant I picked on a hike that I do not know the name of but think is a weed, and some green sphagnum moss. I used a wonderful wrought iron urn that really adds to the fall feel. I posted this because I feel so blessed to see the simple beauty in nature around me and then be able to put it all together in a piece that many can enjoy. On a side note, when you go on a hike with me be prepared to carry back many treasures!~ Ria
